Precautions for Hard Alloy Wire Drawing Dies

The hard alloy wire drawing die uses high-quality hard alloy as the core, which has high hardness, good thermal conductivity, and low friction coefficient. The production of hard alloy wire drawing molds is simple, corrosion-resistant, impact resistant, and cost-effective. Suitable for drawing black metal, large-sized wire, and situations with poor drawing conditions.

Precautions for Hard Alloy Wire Drawing Dies

In the use of hard alloy wire drawing molds, five precautions are usually needed: equipment selection, wire pre-treatment, selection of appropriate lubricants, abnormal handling, timely replacement of aging, etc.

1. Equipment selection: Based on the material and stretching equipment you want to stretch, match the compression ratio of each stretching mold reasonably to determine the angle of the working area of each stretching mold.

2. Pre treatment of wire drawing materials, such as cleaning, rust removal, annealing, phosphating, etc., To ensure the cleanliness of the materials.

3. Selection of drawing powder and oil: Choose high-quality and suitable drawing powder (lubricant, oil) and do a good job of cooling the drawing mold.

4. Timely handling of abnormal mold situations: If there are problems such as mold cracking, mold explosion, mold sticking, line scraping, diameter reduction, wire breakage, high temperature, mold blackening, wear resistance, etc. during wire drawing, please contact professional technical personnel in a timely manner.

5. Timely replacement of aging drawing dies: When the drawing die reaches its service life, please replace the drawing die in a timely manner for mold repair to avoid excessive use of the drawing die and the scrapping of the drawing die material.

Application of Hard Alloy Drawing Dies

Hard alloy wire drawing molds are widely used in wire drawing. Wire drawing is a manufacturing process that reduces or changes the cross-sectional area of a wire by using a series of drawing plates or molds. Wire drawing, where the "pen tip" is inserted into the cast steel tungsten carbide.

Manufacturing process

Key points to pay attention to during the processing of the rough and sleeve of the hard alloy wire drawing mold, as well as the assembly of the mold core; There are four main manufacturing steps: 1. Processing of mold blanks; 2. Installation interference; 3. Processing of wire drawing die sets; 4. Installation process.
